ALS Hearing Healthcare “New Dispenser” Training Class Syllabus
The course syllabus outlined below is structured to take a student, with or without experience, through a step-by-step learning process. Students will receive comprehensive training from our diverse faculty in the core Hearing Instrument Science topics such as physics of sound, anatomy, disorders of the ear, etc., to the more advanced technologies, concepts and testing protocols such as live speech mapping, directivity, bluetooth and introduction to cerumen management. All audiometric, video otoscopic, real-ear, computer software and cerumen management equipment utilized at the Training Class is state-of-the-art.
